View of the archaeological site, located in farmland near the city of Aitos

After alerted residents of Aitos notified Regional museum Burgas, on 5th November 2013, the archaeologist Miroslav Klasnakov inspected an archaeological site, located in the farmlands south of Aitos Municipality. At the site he recorded findings of ceramics fragments from the Thracian, Roman and early medieval era. According to informants the area is frequently visited by illegal treasure hunters, for which is notified Police Department in Aitos.
