On May 31, Friday, at 10:30 a.m., in the Ethnokitchen of the Ethnographic Museum - Burgas, a culinary demonstration will be presented. The favorite of all Bulgarians will be cooked Rhodope patatnik.
Patatnik is a typical Rhodope mauntan dish and its name comes from the name of the potato - "patati" in the Rhodope region. Its main ingredients are: potatoes, onions, salt and djojjen, and depending on the season, additives can also be made - with meat, cracklings, cheese, eggs, cheese, etc. Somewhere it is prepared as a casserole, but it can also be a filling between crusts. Further variety is brought by the way it is baked in a tray on the oven or in a pan/sauté pan on the stove. But whichever recipe is chosen, it is known that this is a typical Rhodope dish, with which you can welcome dear guests, as well as hastily prepare for those who come 'out of the blue' and still you will not be ashamed. Because the important thing is to eat it in pleasant company and with pleasure.
The master chef will be Grozdelina Georgieva - curator at the Regional Ethnographic Museum - Plovdiv, and a prominent Plovdiv coryfe of traditional dishes from the Rhodope Mountains and Plovdiv region.
