Here's what you can see with us on the day of the most celebrated holiday in Burgas:
At the Ethnographic Museum on ul. "At the Ethnographic Museum of Burgas at 69 Slavyanska St. in Burgas you can see the interesting exhibition of Austrian Christmas toys "How they celebrate Christmas in Austria". The exhibits, not shown in Bulgaria until now, are from the collections of the Stille Nacht Museum im Pflegerschlössl and the Waggerl House Museum Kulturverein Blaues Fenster - from 09:00 - 15:00.
In the Historical Museum visitors have the opportunity to see a bronze copy of the posthumous mask of the Burgas-born actor - Apostol Karamitsev. The initiative to create a bronze cast of the mask was initiated in 2022 by the cameraman Hristo Dimitrov - Hindo and the director Slavi Georgiev, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birth of the famous Burgas actor, which was celebrated on October 17 this year. The cause received support from the Deputy Mayor for Culture of Burgas Municipality Diana Savateva, as a result of which the sculptor Nikola Stanchev made the cast. According to the wish of the initiators, the copy of the posthumous mask was donated to the Burgas Museum, and the plaster original is still kept in the State Theatre "Adriana Budevska" - from 09:00 - 15:00.
The permanent exhibitions are waiting for you at the Archaeological and Natural History Museum - from 09:00 - 15:00.
We will also observe the long-standing tradition of the consecration of the New Year's table, which will take place at 11:00 in the garden near the "Clock", where traditionally the mayor of the city will break the New Year's bread.
