On Saturday, 13 December 2025, workshops on decorating Christmas baubles will be held at the Ethnographic Exhibition of the Regional History Museum – Burgas, 69 Slavyanska Street. The Polish-language session starts at 11:00 and the Bulgarian-language session at 14:00. The event is part of the series “Polonia Teaches Polishness” and is organised by the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Sofia and the Polish Institute in Sofia, in cooperation with the Regional History Museum – Burgas.
The workshop is open to Poles living in Bulgaria and to students from “Bishop Konstantin Preslavski” Secondary School in Burgas. During the one-day event, visitors can see a photo exhibition with images from the Ethnographic Museum in Kraków and the collections of the National Digital Archive, showing traditional Polish Christmas customs. A traditional Polish festive table will also be on display, along with a Christmas tree decorated with paper and straw ornaments.

Participants will also be able to see traditional Polish szopki, the ornate nativity scenes made in Kraków. They come from the collections of the Ethnographic Museum in Kraków and the Polish Institute.
