"The education in Burgas in the second half of the 20th century" is the topic of the museum lecture this Saturday, 23.02.2019. Author of the latest story is the historian Yana Ivanova. She will present the development of the curriculum and school network in Burgas and the region during the last century.
In the second half of the 20th century the number of pre-school and day-care kindergartens increased considerably. The rise of education is also influenced by the dynamics of the economy due to the increased requirements for qualified specialists. For this purpose, technical schools and secondary vocational schools are created, which provide the necessary professional training. There is also a small number of newly built educational institutions and renewed facilities. In the 1960s, the first academic school in the city - the Higher Institute of Chemical Technology "Prof. Dr. Assen Zlatarov ".
The traditional museum lecture is held every Saturday at 11.30 am in the Ethnographic Exposition (69 Slavyanska St., behind St. Cyril and St. Methodius Church). The entrance fee is preferential - for adults 2 BGN and for students and pensioners - 1 BGN.
