From livelihood to industry. An overview of fisheries in the Burgas region 19-20 c.

This year the sea was favourable, it gave us a rich catch of leffer, horse mackerel, blackfish and bonito. To be a fisherman is a destiny, a life, and fishing is an important livelihood for Black Sea towns. This week Yana Ivanova, curator at the Historical Exposition of the Burgas Museum, will give an overview of the fishing industry in the Burgas region and its transition from a livelihood to an industry.
