Exhibition of 3D models of ships sunken in the Black Sea opens on the 31st of May



An attractive exhibition of 3D models of ships sunken in the Black Sea will take place during the hosting of Burgas on the European Maritime Day, which will be held on 31 May and 01 June. The "Hidden Secrets of the Black Sea" Exposition will be exhibited at the Sea Casino Cultural Center from 31 May to 30 July.

It will include 7 3D models of sunken ships, as well as curious artifacts found in recent sea bed surveys. The hall will be completely transformed to recreate the underwater Black Sea world.

An interactive map with all 57 wrecked ships and missing settlements in the Black Sea will be located in Hristo Fotev Hall of the Sea Casino Casino. With VR glasses, every guest will be able to make a virtual walk at the seabed.

16 models of ships, provided by the Bulgarian Federation of Sports Shipwreck Modeling, will be arranged in "Georgi Baev" Hall. Most of them are medal winners and prestigious awards from national and international exhibitions.

Interactive games for children will welcome the youngest visitors in the Hristo Fotev hall of the cultural center. They will be able to construct 2 3D detachable wooden boat models according to their drawing and photo. The more curious of them with the help of real-life glasses will explore the bottom of the sea.

The "Hidden Secrets of the Black Sea" project is being implemented with the financial support of the Cultural Program for the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union 2018. " the National Fund Culture and the cooperation of NAIM with the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, the Center for Underwater Archeology - Sozopol and RIM-Burgas.
