On September 29, 2023 at 10:30 am in the Ethno-kitchen of the Burgas Museum (69 Slavyanska Street) we will see how to prepare "arnaut jigger" - a liver according to a traditional Turkish recipe. Literally translated - "Albanian-style liver", because "arnaut", "arnautin" is an outdated name for an Albanian. "Arnaut" is also said for a grumpy unyielding person with a hot temper, and the Arnaut pepper is a hot pepper. The "jigger," of course, is liver; with us it would be lamb.
The master of this Balkan speciality will be Medjit Mehmed - mayor of the village of Zhelyazovo, Kameno municipality.
