The book "The Issykhist Monastic Centres in Paroria and the Medieval Bulgarian State in the 14th Century" was published. The scientific edition is authored by Dr. Milen Nikolov, Director of the Burgas Museum. It is 292 pp. Structurally it consists of a preface, introduction, five chapters, four annexes and bibliography.
The book provides detailed answers to a number of questions that have recently become of interest to contemporary society - what is actually isychasm, its historical development, its unprecedented rise in the 14th century, its direct protection by the Bulgarian royal court. Particular attention is paid to the personality of Sts. The location of this mysterious area, and the saint's relationship with Tsar Ivan Alexander. A strong emphasis is placed on the Bulgarian disciples of the great Issychastic teacher, among whom we see Sts. Theodosius of Tarnovo, Sts. Roman of Tarnovo and Sts. Romil of Vidin. Special attention is given to them, in the form of prosopographical notes.
The scientific contributions of the book are numerous. Among them is the publication for the first time of the life of St. Gregory Sinaiticus in Bulgarian. It has been translated from Russian by Diana Slavcheva.
Essentially, the book represents the author's doctoral dissertation, defended in 2019.

The official premiere of the book is forthcoming, after which it will be distributed in the expositions of RHM Burgas.
