The hospital projected by architect E. Maystorov was officially opened on the 5th October 1902. The construction works took around five years. Internal and external yards occupy 43,000 m ². The hospital is designed in the so-called pavilion system shaped as a rectangle, occupied for the administration, kitchen, operation ward, recovery ward, quarantine ward and a morgue.
