Regional Historical Museum-Burgas won a project to publish Volume VIII of its regular Bulletin of the Burgas Museum, which this year marks 110 years since the beginning of museum work in the city of Burgas. The grant is worth BGN 13,700, with 25% of the total amount being co-financed by the Burgas Museum.
The publication will be in two volumes, with a total of 1000 pages, A4 format. There are 39 authors, including the curators of the museum, specialists from the University of Liverpool - Great Britain, the University of Connecticut - USA, the Center for Underwater Archeology - Sozopol, National Archaeological Institute with museum - BAS, (NAIM – BAS), the National Museum of Military History, the State Archives - Burgas, the museums in Nessebar, Pomorie, Primorsko, Ruse, Varna, Veliko Tarnovo, Burgas historians and many others. etc.
The theme of the two-volume book is the cultural and natural heritage of Burgas and the Southern Black Sea coast - archaeology, history, biodiversity and ethnology. At the moment, the experts of RHM - Burgas are pre-pressing the publication. Printing is scheduled to take place in November 2022.
The team of RHM-Burgas expresses its gratitude to the evaluation committee for the high evaluation given to the project for the publication of volume VIII of Bulletin. The project was ranked seventh out of a total of sixteen winning projects applying under the theme "Events organized by museums and art galleries in the field of Movable Cultural Heritage and the Visual Arts" under the "Competition session for funding projects in the field of Movable Cultural Heritage and the Visual Arts" Arts 2022.'
