During the months April to July 2014 a team of Regional Burgas Museum led by Milen Nikolov, fully excavated the monumental Early-Christian Episcopal basilica from the late 5th - beginning of the 6th century at the mediaeval Fortress Poros, near Kraimorie - Burgas. The church measures 19.5 meters in length and 14 m in width and is a tree-naval basilica with narthex. Big part of the flooring - ceramic tiles embossed with incised decoration, is completely preserved.
On 17.09.2014, began the preparation of the archaeological site for the months of fall and winter. The field conservation of the basilica became a possible mainly due to the companies Andela and Andesite. They not only donated 60 tons of specially selected felted particles for the adequate conservation of the walls, but also provided their transportation to the archaeological site.
