On the eve of the last big Bulgarian winter holiday - Sirni Zagovezni, Regional Historical Museum - Burgas organizes a series of lectures, dedicated to one of the most popular topic lately - vampires, werewolves and all demonic beings who are the heroes of the modern movies, books and games.
Within the week, between 17 to 21 February our specialists will take you on a journey into the magical world of the supernatural. On the lectures you will be provided with information from archaeological surveys and Bulgarian folk mythology, in which these creatures are completely real.
Museum specialists will teach you about the old beliefs on the dark creatures, who were frightening people since ancient times. In fact, you will find out that vampires and goblins are an integral part of folk beliefs and legends that have been passed down over generations in Bulgarian lands since the Middle Ages.
