Archaeological excavations of the Thracian sanctuary in the Burgas complex "Izgrev", which are conducted by the Regional Historical Museum - Burgas continue. New interesting finds have been found, the detailed research of which is yet to come, announced the scientific director of the archeological site, assistant Miroslav Klasnakov. He informed that twelve of the twenty-five ritual pits that had been discovered at the site had already been explored. Among the newly discovered artifacts are ceramic vessels, fragments of amphorae, fragments of bronze fibulae, a knife blade and an urn, which is already in the process of restoration.
Thracian pit sanctuary is from the 5th-4th century BC. Rescue archeological excavations at the site started in May in the area of a construction site for the construction of a future residential building.
