Ethnographers demonstrate weaving on a tile in front of children from Primary School Vasil Aprilov

On 22.02.2012 specialists from the Ethnographic museum Burgas visited Primary School "Vasil Aprilov" in connection with a presentation part of the project "A journey into the world of toys" - Comenius Programme 2011-2013. In front of the participants (students from sixth grade) Krasimira Dubarova and Plamen Kirova demonstrated an old technique called "weaving on a tile" and then thought the children more about games and toys from the past.

The young participants with passion and skill took on the challenge and weaved their own small rugs.
And when they visit the Ethnographic museum next, they will be ready to master the big vertical loom.
