A few days ago, the Volume 8 "Buletin of the Burgas Museum - Volume 8", issued under a project of the museum, financed by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Bulgaria, was published. The collection is dedicated to the 110th anniversary of research and museum work of the Burgas Museum. The publication is in two volumes, with a total of over 600 pages of text.
In the two parts of the volume, 38 articles were published under the headings: archaeology, ethnology, history, numismatics, maritime archaeology, epigraphy, sgraphics, nature and museum work. Its participants are 45 authors - museum specialists from Bulgaria; scientists from National Archaelogical Institute with Museum Bulgarian Academy of Sciences; university professors; researchers from Switzerland; from the Universities of Connecticut, USA, and Southampton, UK; from the Ministry of Culture; NIM, Ministry of Culture of Australia and many others. etc. The topics are basically the same - results of the study of the tangible and intangible cultural heritage of the Municipality of Burgas and the Southern Black Sea.
The chief scientific editor of the publication is Prof. D.Sc. Svetlozar Elderov, with editors Prof. Dr. Ivan Hristov, Prof. Dr. Nikolay Nenov, Assoc. Dr. Svetla Dalakchieva and Dr. Milen Nikolov. Compiled by Dr. Milen Nikolov. The art editor is Yana Slavyanska, and the pre-press preparation is the work of museum experts Tsvetana Ileva and Neli Nikiforova-Hristova.
