Since then, the event has been celebrated annually by museums around the world, and the event aims to raise the public perception of their role in the development of society.
The citizen's exhibition is the successful end of the first campaign within the initiative of Regional historical Museum Burgas "My Exhibit in the Museum". It aims to involve the citizens of Burgas in the museum work to study and popularize local history and culture. Everyone interested was invited to participate with something personal in an exhibition on a particular topic and the first subject was "Bulgarian refugees in our memory". Citizens from all over Borgas region brought objects to the Ethnographic Museum and shared the history of their families with the museum workers, who have already selected the most interesting objects. The items will remain in the museum hall until the end of May.
The exhibition "Destruction and Creation - the architectural work of Kolyu Ficheto" will be presented at the Ethnographic Museum upon the invitation of Regional Academic Center Burgas by Prof. Sevdalina Turmanova, Deputy Governor of Burgas District. It is a work of the Regional Academic Center Vratsa, the Institute of Mathematics and Informatics at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and the Regional historical museum Veliko Tarnovo.
