RHM-Burgas and the Black Sea Strandzha Association signed a cooperation agreement

Due to the complicated epidemic situation, the traditional annual round table in the town of Ahtopol, organized by the Black Sea Strandzha Association and dedicated to the cultural heritage of Strandzha, took place in a limited composition. Petar Kanev, chairman of the association, and Milen Nikolov, director of RHM-Burgas were present. An overview of the archeological excavations on the southern Black Sea coast in 2020 was made, as well as the achieved results. The prospects for conducting archeological and historical research in the Strandzha region in 2021 in the conditions of a pandemic were also discussed.

At the end of the meeting, an Agreement for cooperation and joint activities was signed between the Black Sea Strandzha Association and the Burgas Regional History Museum, in accordance with the normative documents in the field of cultural heritage. It is planned to implement joint projects in the field of scientific publishing, joint exhibitions and promotion of the cultural heritage of Strandzha.

The meeting was held under the patronage of Valcho Cholakov - District Governor of Burgas, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Boni Petrunova, Director of the National History Museum - Sofia.
