The word "refugee" is related to the ancestral memory of many of our contemporaries. Almost everyone has heard stories of the not so distant times filled up with unbearable night transitions of whole villages, crying infants and their mothers who were forced to leave them in the forest, forced by fear not give away the group; the hard way of getting used to the new; sore memories of a distant home place... 109 years after the Ilinden–Preobrazhenie Uprising the painful lives of these innocent people continue to agitate us not only as humans. In an effort to be good neighbours, which on the Balkans is not worth a damn, we, the Bulgarians, let it be forgotten or deliberately make ourselves forget historical events and righteousness. Thus, ceased to respect and defend what is ours, we condemn ourselves to a life without memories, to lose our gist. But, we must remember, to become wiser!
