The next year will mark 60 years of the first underwater archaeological research in Bulgaria. It is conducted in 1960 around Maslen nose with head of research - the respected director of the Burgas Museum - Prof. Ivan Galabov. How this long-standing research outlines the transformations in societies that inhabited the western coast of the Black Sea, will be presented during the traditional lecture in the museum this Saturday - April 6th.
Milena Damaskova, the curator at the Archaeological Museum, will present the decades of work of the underwater archaeologists to clarify the changes in the location of the port basins, the change of the geographical environment and the ancient settlements and ports.
The lecture "Underwater archaeological researches on the Southern Black Sea coast" will take place on Saturday (April 6th) at 11:30 am in the Ethnographic Museum at 69 Slavyanska Street. The entrance fee is preferential - for adults 2 BGN. Students and pensioners - 1 BGN.
