The Silent Night Museum and the Cultural Union of Wagrain visited the Regional Historical Museum - Burgas

At the initiative of the Honorary Consul of Austria in Burgas Assoc. Prof. Dr. Radostina Ivanova in November 2019, participating in the project "Advent der Kulturen" Regional History Museum - Burgas presented with great success in the museum "Silent Night" ethnographic Christmas exhibition. Last week at the invitation of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Radostina Ivanova and Dr. Milen Nikolov - Director of the Regional Historical Museum in Burgas and with the assistance of the Municipality of Burgas, with a return visit to the four exhibitions of the museum attended the head of the Cultural Union " Blues Fenster ”in Wagrain, Deputy the mayor of the Municipality of Kleinarl, the head of the Tourist Union Wagrain - Kleinarl, representatives of the tourism industry and the museum.
During the visit, the possibilities and expressed interest in joint initiatives in the field of museum work, exchange of experience in the preservation of cultural and historical heritage were discussed. "During our visit to you, we saw a friendly and hospitable welcome. Know that you have real friends in Burgas and this friendship will continue in the future," said RIM Director Milen Nikolov at the meeting of the Austrian delegation. In the course of the talks, many common things were noted, in which the two cities are similar, as well as the priority place occupied by tourism and the preservation of cultural heritage in the management policy of Burgas and Wagrain. Visitors had the opportunity to get acquainted with the rich archaeological, historical and ethnographic heritage of the Burgas region, and on the occasion of the visit the folklore group from the village of Lyulyakovo recreated authentic Easter rituals and songs in the courtyard of the Ethnographic Museum. The Burgas ensemble "Atanas Manchev" also took care of the colorful mood and color. At the end of the meeting the guests and the hosts exchanged gifts and wishes for new and fruitful future relations in the field of culture.
